PORTRAITS ON CANVAS OR BOARD
pet portraits:
I work from your photos to create a portrait of your pet in oil on canvas or board. The process is completely hand painted. If you prefer, I can work in pastels, watercolors, or a mixture of media. Depending on the photo, I generally create portraits that are around 8x10 or 9x12 inches and will finish within 3-4 weeks, but can rush if necessary. I offer the option of having the portrait framed in your choice of maple, black or white solid wood frames. After I finish the painting I will send you a photo and if you do not like it you are not obligated to buy it.
about me:
I started my career in professional theater, where I realized how much I enjoy working with my hands. I moved into film and television work in Los Angeles, shopping for Set Decoration and Props. For a few years my creative focus was on making textile art and several pieces were purchased for the permanent collection in the maternity ward of a Kaiser Permanente hospital. A couple were included in the book 500 Art Quilts and one received a judge's choice honor in Quilting Arts Magazine. More recently I've focused on drawing and painting. I also enjoy remodeling houses - planning and laying tile and flooring, designing cabinetry, and landscaping. My dogs take up the rest of my free time.
